About mid-afternoon (Friday) I had the windows wide open and heard loud
pep-pep-pep sounds coming from the back woods from two different directions.
I wasn't positive but I thought "Wood Thrush"! After an hour or so he (or
they) began singing and continued on until dark. I feel sure there were two
birds. I watched for a long time but never saw either one though they
weren't very far away. I am so happy they came and hope they will set up
housekeeping here! A Brown Thrasher was singing further back in the woods.
Two Cedar Waxwings hopped about in the trees for a while and 15 Pine Siskins
hung around most of the day.
