On Saturday, June 4, while returning from a paddle on Jones Creek, Gloucester
Co., we noticed two immature bald eagles sitting on the landward end of my
neighbor's dock. There was an adult eagle sitting in a tree across the creek,
so I assume the young were recently fledged, but I don't know of any nest in
the area (Claybank). The next day one of the immatures was sitting on the
ground in my back yard.
