Went looking for the Black-billed cuckoo. No luck. However I did come
within 10 feet of
a Veery that was sitting on the path below the honey bee hives.
An aside. I saw some activity in the hives for those concerned about colony
collapse disorder, which is devastating hives throughout theworld. Please
support the apiarists and entomologists who are studying this disease.
Otherwise nobody will be eating fruits anymore; at least not without high
costs.
Note: I am considering setting up a listserve (if that is the proper term)
for naturalists.
I would like to believe that biologists that specialize such as:
mammalogists (Boy! That is a tongue twister.)
herpetologists
lepidopterists
botanists
would be interested in free-listing statistics on such organisms.
Perhaps one -ology per freelist.
I realize that there are a variety of web sites catering to particular
classes of life,
but wonder how (well) they are tied together into one ecological unit.
Feel free to email me for any questions, comments or suggestions.
Insults, cliche's and profanity will be dealt with inappropriately.
