About 8 birders joined me for the weekly Dyke Marsh walk this morning. The
weather was cool, windy, and beautiful. Given the passage of Ivan and the
screaming north winds last night, I had hoped it would be a good flight not
with
some nice migrants around. Unfortunately, there were few migrants, and most of
the best birds, including a LINCOLN'S SPARROW, were seen by me alone prior to
the walk (and the wind). We did see several unidentifiable raptors soaring
over Maryland. A complete list follows.
