I scanned 1030-1330 from the bay/ocean overlook near the lighthouses 4 July

6 imm White Ibis flying N over the 80th streets but apparently not across the
bay
~45 White Ibis (50/50 ad/juv) flying S across the mouth of the bay
3 Gull-billed Terns coming into the bay (last weekend, 1 going out)
small flocks (2-10) of dowitchers rounding the cape into the bay just offshore:
total 50-55
some larger (cf dowitchers) , darker shorebirds further offshore I couldn't ID
1 poss. Sandwich Tern
alas, nothing pelagic
Blue Grosbeak male in dunes at 83rd St earlier + Chimney Swifts foraging low
over dunes
