After an inspiring Easter service I celebrated with birding too. A great
combination.All viewing was done from the marina and the picnic-bench-point
from which you can see the whole length of the lake.

Mallard 4 a pair, and 2 males nervous about me walking down the trail along
the shore.
Common Merganser 1 Female
Common Loon 14 Gorgeous breeding plumage. One wonderfully haunting song.
Pied-billed Grebe 2
Horned Grebe 3 varying plumages
Double-crested Cormorant 670 Careful count of birds rafting in middle of
lake when birds roosting on shore and logs of island joined the raft because of
a boater. Only 11 not in adult breeding plumage. They were not feeding. Birds
were counted by 5s using the scope.

Bald Eagle 2 Ad and 1 big fluffy dark chick.
Red-shouldered Hawk 1
Bonaparte's Gull 168 Careful count of individuals using the scope. Number
dropped to about 80 by the time I left.
Ring-billed Gull 215 Careful count by 5s using the scope. Many with
cormorants, many sitting on water.

Caspian Tern 1 Flying over fairly close to picnic table point. FOY for me.
