oops!
Two RED-NECKED GREBES were fishing in the lake at Lake of the Woods, with a
COMMON LOON. While I was watching a grebe in the scope, he dove and
propelled himself completely out of the water in a very tight dive. What
fun to see!
As I was doing this, the WESTERN TANAGER tried to get some food from the
EABL feeder and my movements at the window scared it. It flew to a nearby
dogwood and sat for a minute then took another pass. This time he carried
off a piece.
I never get anything done around here with such visitors!
