Eight birders persisted through the drizzle this AM on the Bles Park walk
sponsored by NVBC and ASNV and led by Dixie Sommers and me with scope and
spotting support from Ray Smith. We saw or heard 39 species including a
white-eyed vireo that was a FOS for most. No warblers, however. After the
walk, Ray led us to a view of the blue heron rookery off Loudoun County
Parkway for a great sight of dozens of nests with sitting herons.
