We had six people on the walk this morning at Dyke Marsh which starts every
Sunday at 8:00 and is sponsored by the Friends of Dyke Marsh. It was generally
pretty quiet, but we did manage 44 species. Highlights included a Green Heron,
a Caspian Tern, and a Forster's Tern flying around. A couple of Coots and a
Tundra Swan were still summering in the river, We also spotted two young
Prothonotary Warblers foraging next to the trail and heard a couple of Marsh
Wrens in the marsh. There were lots of Ospreys including young ones which
appeared to be flying around with their parents.
