I birded Woodward Turf Farm this morning from 8:00 to 9:30 AM. I found the
Lapland Longspurs amongst a large flock of Horned Larks. There were also
American Pipits and Eastern Meadowlarks. A nice lady in a red pickup truck
rolled down her window and said she owned the property on the north side and
everyone was welcome, just please keep off the turf!
The Lapland Longspur was a life bird for me, and a number of other birders
there this morning.
