The first three images in this gallery are not-so-usual views of a Great
Blue Heron that I took yesterday:

And if anyone one is inclined, they might help me identify a shorebird that
I photographed in the Moody Beach/Wells, Maine area last week. It is with
two Greater Yellowlegs and is slightly smaller. The legs are differently
colored, and its bill seems to have a slight down-curve. I don't know
whether the views are good enough, though, for ID purposes (it's the bird on
the right in the last two pictures). The first seven pictures are some nice
views of Sanderlings and a Semipalmated Plover on the beach.
