Yesterday (Friday 3/28) afternoon I saw a lively Golden-crowned Kinglet at
the top of "Salamander Creek" valley at Long Branch, followed by a Brown
Thrasher nearby, and a Fox Sparrow. I had seen two Eastern Phoebes nearby
Monday and one Thursday, but did not see any yesterday. Earlier ones
photographed.
Today a Fish Crow perched high in a neighbor's Dawn Redwood and was
calling out what sounded almost perfectly like "Quack!" to my ears.
Different from the usual.
Cheers,
