I was around Long Branch Nature Center at a bad time of the day, around 4 PM,
and didn't notice much bird action other than a fair number of GC Kinglet
"see-see-see" calls up in the tree canopy with an occasional glimpse of a perp.
Did not notice the Eastern Phoebes today nor any of the RS Hawk and Coopers
activity that we've had of late. The native bees are very active now and it was
interesting to see all the activity around Alonso Abugattas' bee boxes by the
garden shed, and a snag close by. And in my yard just now, WT Sparrows still
hanging out and many spider threads were gleaming in the setting sun - maybe
there was just a big hatch of spiderlings ballooning in the wind. Cheers,
