The Glaucous Gull is still at Occoquan Regional Park. I arrived at 9:30
this morning and found the bird sleeping. About 15 minutes later, it woke
up and preened for awhile, and I took photos of it with outstretched wings.
I also shot some video. At 10:20, it took off to the east and disappeared.
All of the gulls were a little further west than they were on Tuesday, and
part of the water is still frozen. I searched numerous times for the
Iceland Gull, but I did not see it.
You can see the video and three photos of the Glaucous Gull on my Flickr
site at

items in the first album.
