Howdy all,
I filled in for Jeff on the Kiptopeke hawkwatch yesterday while he went and
took his GREs for grad school (which he did well on). As it turned out, it was
a good day on the platform.?A total of 136 raptors (one of the best days this
November) but the big highlight was the number of NORTHERN GOSHAWKS! A total of
seven were counted yesterday. And not to be outdone, Joe the hawk trapper,
caught two of them and almost had a third! Quite the wild day.
It had been one of the best seasons for Goshawks in quite some time.
