I have the week off and wanted to do something different, so my husband
and I went back to my old homeplace in Hampton and toured around the
area. It was amazing to see how much things have changed in 25 years... ;-)
We went to Grandview nature preserve and hiked down to the beach. There
was only one other person there so we basically had the beach to
ourselves. We walked about a mile down the beach...a few shorebirds
around, a few gulls further out, lots of egrets and such in the marsh on
the way down. It was a gorgeous day to be outside and we made the best
of it.
