I was mistaken in thinking all of our Catbirds are gone. I thought I glimpsed
one yesterday, and then today at around 4:30 PM I saw one visiting a saucer of
water at our side yard. More and more it seems we are getting dry spells of
over a week with no rain, followed often by a downpour, then another dry spell.
I find that the water we try to keep around in the yard becomes very attractive
to the birds especially after many days without rain.
Also, we still have Barred Owl calling in our neighborhood and park, the
American Robins are beginning to flock up, and so seem to be the Northern
Cardinals. Cheers,
