Today I finally saw two birds at the Shenandoah River where the low water
bridge (Morgan's Ford). The Great Blue Heron sat on the side of the swollen,
rushing river for over an hour and fished by just sitting there and
ocassionally pecking in the water. I was so glad I had my binocs with me,
even though they didn't quite do the trick as I would have hoped from across
the river. Later I saw a Kingfisher, unmistakeable.
Does anyone recommend a bino?. I have a Canon IS 8 X 25. My friend could see
more detail than I could, so it's probably my eyesite failing me.
Also, does anyone have a digital camera with a telefoto lens they could
recommend. Thanks
Carol
