This morning I saw a Great Egret standing on the bank of Big Cedar Creek on
River Mountain Road. He flew before I could take photos. I also had Lousiana
Waterthrushes (2 singing) and a Yellow-throated Warbler near the parking lot at
Pinnacle NAP. I later saw a group of Barn Swallows near Artrip on the Clinch
River.
At our feeders we have Purple Finches, 15+ Chipping Sparrows, White-throated
Sparrows and 50+ Pine Siskins among the throng of Common Grackles, Brown-headed
Cowbirds, Red-winged Blackbirds and American Goldfinches.
