Due to the recent Federal Government shutdown, the weekly bird walk at Great
Falls National Park scheduled for January 21, 2018 will instead take place at
Riverbend Park (8700 Potomac Hills Street; Great Falls, VA). The walk will
meet at 8:00 a.m. at the Riverbend Park main visitors' center, on the terrace
near the adirondack chairs and restrooms. All birders are welcome!
For anyone considering a separate visit to Great Falls Park, please be aware
that all available restroom facilities, including portajohns, are closed as a
consequence of the shutdown.
