Most of the walk this morning was in foggy conditions. Our group of six did
tally 30 species.
Highlight of the day was a common yellowthroat. We had a larger number of
flickers in the woods.
When the fog finally burned off we were onto the river which was still somewhat
high and fast
so there was very little to see -- a merganser and cormorants, and not a single
mallard.
This Sunday walk meets at 8:00am usually near the visitor's center although the
past several weeks we have
delayed by flocks in the parking lot. All are welcome to join. -- Marshall
