Our group of ten birders tallied 36 species on this lovely fall morning that
started out with the river shrouded in mists.
Despite the river's more normal flow, there were very few ducks (five total).
The arrival of abundant yellow-rumps,
a sapsucker and white-throated sparrow signaled a change in seasons. We also
saw an increase in the vulture
and kinglet populations.
