After a day of no sightings, 7 GWF Geese were present today, close to the dam
breast. The previously reported Ross’ Goose has not been seen since early
Wednesday morning, however. There were also about 650 Canadas, but I could not
locate a single Cackling Goose in the mix. There were 6 Mallards, 1 Greater
Scaup, 1 Red-breasted Merganser, and 3 Hooded Mergansers.
There is much more open water, and even one fisherman in a boat, who helped by
pushing most of the waterfowl closer.
