Hi all,
What a great afternoon at Lakewood Park. Lots of hooded mergansers right off
the dock. To the right of the dock in the distance were about 30 shovelers, and
13 green winged teal, 4 gadwall and mallards. This is the first time I've seen
teal and gadwall there.
On Knitting mill creek we have a large group of common and red breasted
mergansers with some hooded mixed in. Ruddy showed up today. Buffelheads have
been here for awhile.
A flock of bluebirds have been in the field behind Larchmont elementary school
with yellow rumps, myrtle, but were not seen today. A pair of black crowned
night herons were in the mud flats yesterday.
