decent amount of Parkway goers, some stopping & inquiring what we were
doing.
Weather:
Mixture of clouds & Sun with clouds diminishing throughout the day to 10%.
Winds had a westerly component all watch, sometimes SSW, WNW, NW. Temps
were very tolerable averaging in the mid to upper 60's
Raptor Observations:
Mostly RT's & SS's with a few other hawk mixed in.
AEGE 14:28 & 14:32
BE with white head & tail with a smattering of white on the chest area @
14:46
The Eagles were high up (thank goodness for the scope) along with some of
the other hawks with a few close for good viewing.
Non-raptor Observations:
150+ Cedar Waxwings
Several groups of vultures 10-15 in each group, kettling & streaming on the
west side. Although we do not count vultures, I feel fairly certain these
were migrating.
