Visitors:
It was nice to welcome Wes Green, Safety Officer BRP stationed in Asheville
NC and Mike Donahue with the National Forest Service, Salem VA. They
enjoyed their lunch break with us and had the pleasure of observing the BE.
Safford Quiery came by for the first time this year from Salem.
Weather:
Sunny, cloudless sky all day with winds calm early then variable from
midday until end of watch. Temperatures from C16>C23. Humidity from
95%>45% at the end of watch. Visibility 31-40Km.
Raptor Observations:
Adult BE at 12:05 low over the West side of the Knob.
Non-raptor Observations:
It was a very lovely day with a few AT hikers and of course our cycle folk;
bike and motor. A ridge runner or two as well.
Predictions:
Much like today but with higher temperatures in the afternoon; cloudless
blue sky day with very little wind.
Hopefully more birds.
