Visitors:
Very little traffic today but cars from the following states did come into
the knob, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio,
South Carolina and Texas.
Weather:
Totally overcast for the hours of the watch. A light rain began to fall at
10:33 and became a steady rain by 11:00. With the weather forecast calling
for rain for the rest of the day the watch was terminated. Very chilly
with winds from the E at 3-6 mph.
Raptor Observations:
Only raptors seen were one local redtail searching for breakfast at 8:45
and one local sharpie seen for a brief time at 10:00 before it returned
back down into the knob.
Non-raptor Observations:
On the way up to the knob I observed a flock of 50-60 crows flying off the
Montvale overlook towards Bedford. Only two TV's and no other birds
observed except as mentioned above.
Predictions:
Not good. Rain forecast through Friday and maybe into Saturday.
