Visitors:
Nice people from Texas in a convertible and several inquisitive folk from
around the country. Katie took nice photos of a grandson and grandfather
on the parkway to look around.
Warren Stout's granddaughter came by today with fond and teary memories of
the hawkwatch where he was an early counter. She noted that his ashes were
scattered here.
Weather:
Plenty of wind today with consequent wind chill. Clear blue early, cloudy
later, then clear late. Wind from the W to WNW , strong.
Raptor Observations:
SSs fairly close for the most part, as were all the birds. Falcony kind of
blustery day. Three immature Bald Eagles at 11:09, 11:26 and 2:18. Coops
absent for the most part.
Non-raptor Observations:
Lots of excellent help, too many leafies, motocycles. Leaves leaving,
mimicking hawks.
Predictions:
Very similar to today.
