Visitors:
A couple of folks from Israel stopped by and cars from the following states
also passed thru the knob - Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, New
Jersey, New York, Ohio and North and South Carolina
Weather:
Nice mostly sunny day with temps ranging from 59oF at 8:00 and ending at 82
at 3:00. Started with a cloudless sky and visibilty clear to Diddles. A
heavy haze from Diddles on towards WV. Throughout the day the haze kept
creeping more and more towards the knob. Winds were out of the NW and
ranged from 2-7 mph.
Raptor Observations:
All of the raptors were on the west side most coming in directly over the
knob with several farther out in the valley.
Non-raptor Observations:
Two groups of Bluejays totaling 21 birds moved through. Several
goldfinches were also active around the site. Foliage was very colorful
especially along near ridge and sharpshin ridge.
Predictions:
Morning might be somewhat productive and possibly the afternoon depending
on when the rain arrives or doesn't arrive.
