Visitors:
Lots of regulars on hand today. Always nice to see them and having the
extra eyes helping with the watch.
Weather:
Calm until late in the day with SSE winds at a 2. Cool temperatures staying
at 16-18C all day. Cloud cover was mostly at 50-75% with visibility from
3-4 during the afternoon.
Raptor Observations:
Another good eagle day with an immature BE at 11:24, Unid eagle at 12:50, 3
more ABE at 1:42, 1:45 and 1:46. The final ABE was at 2:22. BWs made a
brief showing (83) late in the morning and fell off until the last three
hours of the watch giving us a total of 3581 with 2649 in the last hour
alone. Hawks were observed on both the west and east side. Most were high
but late in the last hour came in low and flapping.
Non-raptor Observations:
Predictions:
Much like today with warmer temperatures in the afternoon. Hopefully, more
wind and more hawks.
