Took photo for a Michigan mom and daughter, but that was about it.
Weather:
Overcast in the morning, some clearing in the afternoon. Good wind from
the WSW, but not even Vultures in the afternoon. Finally cleared and the
wind stopped. Isn't that the way?
Raptor Observations:
The one harrier came up n the East side, low, and headed South in
harrier-like fashion. Perfect bird for this odd day.
Non-raptor Observations:
Few travelers, few motorcycles, no hikers. Some bear doggers.
Note that there are Swallow tailed Kites in Campbell County.
Predictions:
Easterly component to the wind perhaps. Osprey?
