Irvan, (thanks for helping spot), Mary Agee & a group from her church.
Many, Many more came & saw the amazing site of broad wings.
Special thanks to Joyce Holt for offering bottled water while I was
counting, Katie James & Joyce for offering to get me some food & taking
over for a few minutes while I swallowed my biscuit whole & to Joann for
bringing my water bottle to me, not once but twice. Thanks to all who
helped us find all the hawks we had today.
Weather:
Sunny with bright blue skies with some clouds showing up very late in watch
area. Winds light out of the NW to start & then changing to more of an ESE
wind for the rest of watch
Raptor Observations:
MAGICAL, PHENOMENAL, a big FAT WOW. Hmmm, where do I start? I will keep it
short. The broadies came in & over mostly on the east side today. kettling
& streaming groups kept coming through today from 09:00 (this would be hawk
time) until 13:00 hrs. Then things really got slow. It was amazing to say
the least.

17:00-18:00(9)
AEBE @ 13:45 & an IMM BE @ 13:50
PG @ 15:30
Non-raptor Observations:
A little over 600 Monarchs counted with probably 3 times as much not
counted because eveytime I put hte binocs up to scan, I would have to
discern wether it was a Monarch or a hawk.
Predictions:
Sunny with partly cloudy skies & mid 80's
Tad will need a few tissues to wipe the tears away after reading this
