Thanks to all for your help spotting what few hawks we had today.
Weather:
Very nice day with a mixture of Sun & clouds with cool temps in the shade
and warm in the Sun.
Winds were variable today @ 1's & 2's throughout watch.
Visibilty was low today but got better as the day went on.
The low sitting off the East coast is affecting our hawks and visibility.
Raptor Observations:
24 of the 27 hawks came in the 10-11EST hour. The other 3 came when the
Hollins University group was with us in the 1-2EST hr.
Imm. BE @ 10:27 and an Osprey just before that.
11 straight days with at least 1 BE observed migrating.
Local Sharpie and Coops hanging out today. Local Red Tail was seen only
twice.
Non-raptor Observations:
Blue Jays observed migrating with 30-40 seen.
Pileated heard.
Predictions:
More of the same weather and very few hawks flying.
Da Broad season is over, bring on da rest!!!!
