Weather:
Hourly data not collected today as I did not have my weather gear with me.
A rain system started clearing out the area mid morning and the winds
started to blow. When I left the house (45 miles SW of the watch) blue
skies abound. As I approached the watch on top of the mountain I could see
heavy clouds on top. THe watch was covered with fog until 13:30 hours when
it finally cleared.
Raptor Observations:
Even though the weather cleared out, the hawks were not flying on top of
the mountain. On the way to the watch I counted 6 RT's & 2 SS flying in the
valley.
I even tried to back up to the Montvale overlook before Harvey's cleared
with no hawks observed flying.
Non-raptor Observations:
Bill Adams was at the watch until just after 13:00 and I showed up just
after he left and Phillip was right in front of me.
