Visitors:
We welcomed Rich from Blacksburg who was very helpful for several hours as
were William And Cheryl Holbrook from Charleston WV. Cheryl provided us
with some delicious cookies. Several AT hikers enjoying the days walk.
Weather:
Total cloud cover all day with temperatures from 13c > 16c. Haze in
valleys early and holding for most of watch. Winds ESE to NE and at
beaufort 2. No precipitation. It was a very cloudy and cool day
Raptor Observations:
Birds were primarily seen over Knob and in Goose Creek Valley.
Non-raptor Observations:
1 Milkweed Tussock Moth Caterpillar, 1 Banded Woollybear Moth Caterpillar.
72 Blue Jays.
Predictions:
Pleasant with times of sun and clouds. Winds ESE at 5 mph forecast with 67%
humidity and 49% cloud cover.
