Observers:
Visitors:
Not so lucky today.
Weather:
The peaks of the Peaks of Otter were not visible today nor were the Towers
of Purgatory - nor the fires for that matter. However, one could see from
Harvey's - down anyway.
Raptor Observations:
But there were none. One vulture flapping over the ridge.
Non-raptor Observations:
Sitting there alone, I recalled a visitor from many years ago - Robert
Zimmerman, I believe his name was - and he was very inquisitive about the
flight of hawks as he had grown up not far from Duluth. He asked me the
main variable for hawk migratory flight and I thought and said something
along the lines of the answer to that, my friend, is blowing in the wind.
Don't know what happened to that young fellow, though.
Predictions:
NW winds in the PM. If it doesn't happen, don't think twice, it's uh Okey
Dokey.
