Visitors:
We had several visitors. One gentleman from Philadelphia on his way to
Florida stopped around noon. He had a new Harley, a great looking machine.
Then some folk from Iowa who enjoyed taking photos of themselves standing
in front of the AT signs. They told some fascinating stories about their
"cabin" located on the Mississippi flyway and birds observed.
Weather:
Winds were variable for most of the day from North, South and East at
various times, with speeds from 1 to 3. Clouds in the valley early morning
then clearing with blue skies by mid-day until end of watch. Visibility was
good but with haze. Temperatures ranged from 16c > 23c.
Raptor Observations:
The usual local TVs, Red Tails and Ravens where with us most of the day,
disappearing then reappearing as if playing with us.
Non-raptor Observations:
Gold Finch, several Monarchs, swifts and swallows and a few more knats.
One Jake and four hens seen at mile marker 103 on Parkway.
Predictions:
Much the same as today.
