Weather:
A bit of rain from an offshore low before the count started, but mostly
partly cloudy skies with mostly northish winds.
Raptor Observations:
Non-raptor Observations:
Common Loon-15, Red-throated Loon-2, Snow Goose~25, Great Blue Heron-4,
American Black Duck-2, Black Scotter~40, Blackpoll Warbler-1. Also one
Northern Rough-winged Swallow heard, another nice flight of Eastern
Bluebirds, and the first of the season from the platform Northern Gannets
seen feeding on the bay (actually in and above the bay too if we wanted to
paraphrase the old Anna Russell joke), totaling an estimated 20 birds of
all kinds of ages and plumages.
Predictions:
Weather looks to be about the same as today, sans the offshore low in the
a.m., so perhaps the birds will be about the same?
