Total observation time: 8.5 hours

Raptor Observations:

Non-raptor Observations:
One more Monarch Flutter-by counted than there were migrating raptors
counted today; not striking me as normal or healthy for the hawk counter's
ego. (Dare I threaten that if this keeps up, I'll have to get more liberal
with counting them Red-tails and Bald Eagles?) Only one Common Loon noted
today. Nine Eastern Meadowlarks were seen, and at least one Rusty Blackbird
was heard, but few icterids in general relative to the last few days, and
virtually no Robins or Yellow-rumped Warblers to speak of. It was, however,
a Spizella Sparrow day today, with a Clay-colored seen for a few too breif
seconds, conservativly 20 Field Sparrows seen, and of course about 200+
Chipping Sparrows.

Predictions:
A cold front and low are predicted to pass on Friday, with a 50% chance of
rain with the front and north winds behind it. May bring a few more birds
tommorrow, but if I were a betting woman or man, I'd be thinking there was
going to be a decent flight on Saturday after all the remnants of the front
had cleared and with 15-20mph winds from the northeast being predicted.
