Visitors:
A special guest today, Jamie Cameron, he was the hawk trapper in the late
â90 for Kiptopeke and Eastern Shore National Refuge. Bart Paxton was on
hand to help with the late afternoon blues as well today.
Weather:
Clear blue skies with South East winds for most of the day. A high
temperature today of 29 degrees Celsius.
Raptor Observations:
Most of the migrating raptors had a very high flight path today. Ospreys
set a new high count today with 80 individuals observed. Kiptopeke had
their first Broad-winged Hawks today with two flying south.
Non-raptor Observations:
From the platform today there were three good size flocks of Bobolinks. Ahigh count of 73 individuals were observed at one time. Eastern Kingbirds
