Total observation time: 7 hours
Official Counter: Steve Kolbe
Observers:
Weather:
Heavy fog early delayed the opening of the count. The fog eventually burned
off to reveal blue skies. Winds were light out of the northwest early
shifting to the southwest. Mild temperatures.
Raptor Observations:
The combination of fog, poor wind direction, and calendar date made for a
slow day.
Non-raptor Observations:
One White-winged Crossbill heading north in the fog, 8+ Red Crossbills, one
Northern Rough-winged Swallow.
Predictions:
Cooler tomorrow with strong northwest winds. Hopefully this front stirs
things up a bit!
