Total observation time: 9 hours
Official Counter: Brian Taber, Steve Kolbe
Observers: Bob Anderson, Brian Taber, Ned Brinkley
Weather:
Warmer today with light southwest winds shifting to the southeast. Clear
skies.
Raptor Observations:
More movement today than in the previous few! Bald Eagles and Red-tailed
Hawks were the main movers today.
Non-raptor Observations:
Another excellent Red Crossbill flight today. 192 Red Crossbills were
counted going south, but this total does not include six heard but not seen
flocks that certainly push the total southbound RECRs well over 200!
Other highlights included: White-breasted Nuthatch (1), Cave Swallow (4+),
Palm Warbler (1).
Predictions:
Chance of rain tomorrow with southwest winds shifting to northwest.
Overcast.
