Steve Hopp brought his Wildlife Monitoring and Management Class from Emory
& Henry College to the Hawkwatch. They all came prepared with raptor ID
sheets and binoculars. Their sharp eyes and cooperative spirit in spotting
the hawks were greatly appreciated.
Weather:
The weather is repetive. Hot, Hazy, near calm winds and near 0 cloud cover.
Raptor Observations:
Good flights of Broadwings through middle of the day. Thermals died about
4:30 and no more hawks.
Non-raptor Observations:
Black-billed Cuckoo found by Gary Cooper. Several warblers and a Scarlet
Tanager also.
