Weather:
Mostly cloudy early changing to complete overcast by 10am. Dark, low clouds
moving in at 2pm from the south. Temps 14-21.5C. Mild breezes from SSE.
Raptor Observations:
Fairly slow day. All but 3 BWH flew by between 1-2pm. 1 adult BE (12:03pm)
and 1 immature BE (1:33pm).
Non-raptor Observations:
During the first couple of hours the Northern Flickers were sure on the
move! Groups of Flickers were constantly moving in along the ridgeline and
flew across the gap usually in groups of 2-4. In total, 167 Flickers
crossed the gap this morning!
5 Monarchs.
6 Ravens.
1 Red-Headed Woodpecker.
2 Hummingbirds.
Predictions:
Front will move on through tonight. Mostly sunny, high 72F, SSW winds at
10mph.
