Visitors:
Many visitors today in response to viewing our coverage on NBC Channel 29
News out of Charlottesville. Tyler Turpin (Richmond), Larrie & Kathy Davey,
Diane Lepkowski, Greg Moyer, Mary Mapel, Vic Pena and guest plus 15 others.
Weather:
Beautiful day! 22-28.5C. Strong NW winds most of the day, changing to mild
SW winds after 2pm. Mostly sunny with nice clouds.
Raptor Observations:
A nice day of raptors. Four more Bald Eagles: two 5th-year birds (10:27am &
11:30am) and two adults (12:42am & 1:55pm). All but one Osprey came in from
the NE (high over the ridge-line) and passed southward at high altitude,
soaring with the winds.
Non-raptor Observations:
10 Ravens including a kettle of six. 2 DC Cormorant. 38 Hummingbird. 36
Chimney Swift. 1 Monarch.
