Weather:
Mostly sunny with lots of blue sky. Moderate NNW winds early shifting to
light SE breeze after 2pm. 16.7-22.4C.
Raptor Observations:
A good Kestrel day! An adult BE at 3:01pm.
Non-raptor Observations:
2 Hummingbirds. 1 Eastern Kingbird. 1 House Wren. 12 Swifts. 15 Waxwing. A
Raven with one white feather in left wing.
The Virginia Wildlife Center brought an immature Broad-winged Hawk up to
the hawk watch and released it back to the wild this afternoon. The bird
was found in July out of the nest, dehydrated and malnutritioned. They
rehabilitated it and teached it how to hunt food. Good luck little fella!
