Clear blue skies until 11am, then 85-90% cloud coverage for rest of day.
Light ESE breeze. 2.2-12C temps.
Raptor Observations:
An immature Bald Eagle and an adult Golden Eagle passed by today at the
same time (2:28pm); probably only by chance that they seemed to be flying
together to the west. A Merlin came by close at 3:43pm. First bird was an
8:47 RT and last bird was a 3:53pm RT. An interesting occurrence: a group
of crows at 12:30pm alerted the counters of 2 SS, 3 CH and 1 RT all
circling together overhead!
Non-raptor Observations:
171 RW Blackbirds, 101 Robins, 1 hot air balloon, 4 Siskins, 1 GB Heron, 4
Waxwings, 2 Ravens, 50 Grackles, 1 Sapsucker, 1 tailess Turkey Vulture, 5
Bluebirds.
