Weather:
Warmer today with temps starting out at 25c increasing to 26.7 before
approaching storms moved in by 12 p.m. EST. Southerly breeze 12-17 km/h
diminished to maybe 1km/h. Humidity: 76<74; Bar.Pressure: 1001<1000; zero
cloud cover increasing to completely overcast with dark thunderclouds
moving. Very hazy.
Raptor Observations:
It was nice seeing a few small kettles of Broad-wings moving through. This
early in the season most are not in a big hurry and tend to circle around,
back and forth, actively feeding. One small group of 5 kettled out over to
the east side with a 6th one moving through. Approaching storms shut us
down by 12 p.m. EST.
Non-raptor Observations:
Several species of butterflies including Buckeye.
Indigo Bunting(adult male); Tree and Barn Swallows, Chimney Swifts, a pair
of Common Raven.
Predictions:
Warm, sunny and chance of afternoon showers.
