Weather:
Overcast with heavy haze/mist over Waynesboro to our NW reducing visibility
to less than 4km. Slight NNE wind. Humidity 65% and increasing and temp
64-68 degrees by time we shut down at 11 am EST with light rain moving in.
Raptor Observations:
Birds decided today was not a day to migrate. In fact, we never saw the
first vulture or raven during the morning shift. Only migrating raptor was
a Northern Harrier, first picked up by Gabriel Mapel who was trying out our
new Vortex spotting scope donated by our sponsor, Eagle Optics.
Non-raptor Observations:
Adult male Indigo Bunting in the molting stage and one unidentified SMALL
empidonax flycatcher.
Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 6
