Weather:
Light NNW breeze early switching to ESE after noon. 15.3-24.3C. Mostly
cloudy all day. Amazing "fog oceans" blanketing the Shenandoah Valley to
the west, while the eastern Rockfish Valley was all clear.
Raptor Observations:
A good SS day with constant hourly flight. Adult BE 12:41. Immature
Peregrine 9:50. Harrier 10:22. First bird 7:43 SS. Last bird 3:08 OS.
Non-raptor Observations:
The stinkbugs are here! 3 DC Cormorants, 2 Red-headed Woodpecker, 3
Hummingbirds, 29 Flicker, 5 Raven, 430 Grackles, 75 RW Blackbirds, 20
Waxwings, 57 Swifts, 477 Blue Jays and warblers (BTG, Redstart,
Yellow-rumped).
